Port Arthur, Tasmania

Preserving the ruinous character of the Port Arthur Historic
Site was an important consideration in our work. Above is
the repaired portico of the Commandant’s House (1830s).

Fragments of a rare set of 1840s wallpapers, preserved and reproduced
as part of the conservation of Bronte House.

Martin Place, Sydney
 
Plaster bas relief sculpture, installed in the executive office
lobby of the Mutual Life Insurance Company in Martin Place in
1938. The firm enlarged and adapted the foyers and relocated
the stylish panelled boardroom.

Macquarie Street, Sydney

A first quality Greek Revival style terrace house, built in
1842 for John Fairfax. Much added to, the building now contains
interiors of many periods.

An extraordinary slab homestead built at Dubbo circa 1842 having
a sophistication of planning and design which belies its rude
timber construction.

The partly reconstructed and partly original grand stair of
the GPO built of cast iron and plaster.
The Mint Workshops, Sydney

A newly built pavilion replaces the missing 1850s wing of the
former Royal Mint. With FMJM architects, the firm converted the
derelict sheds to offices for the Historic Houses Trust of NSW.
Jobbins Terrace, The Rocks, Sydney

Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf, Sydney

The main internal street of the Wharf adapted as a concourse
serving a new hotel, restaurants, and apartments, while retaining
many original elements and machinery.
The Treaty House, New Zealand

The remarkable Treaty House at Waitangi, New Zealand. The drawing
room is furnished to the period of James Busby's occupation.
The door hardware was specially made as part of conservation
works of the original doors.
Old Government House, Parramatta

The portico and main front of Old Government House, which is
Australia’s only Georgian period vice regal residence.

The wrought iron gate and exterior view of this privately constructed
chapel which is associated with Vaucluse House, one of the firm’s
